About us
We are José and Willem Jan Beernink, a Dutch married couple, who came to Moraira & Benitachell for the first time in 2009. We fell in love with this part of Spain immediately. We liked it so much here that we've bought Casa Beernink (now Casa Bear). During the years we have gotten to know the area very well and know all the good spots to make the best out of your holiday. This part of Spain definitely feels like our second home!
We want to pass on the great experiences we have had to more people. That is why we started renting the apartments and later on Casa Kirsten & Casa Bear.

Hiking in the mountains
My favorite hike is in Valle de Guadalest. It has a beautiful ice blue lake. Which is a true showstopper. The best part, you do not have to be an advanced hiker to complete this hike.

Drinks at the beach - Algas

Flea Market - Jalon

Wine Tasting - Pepe Mendoza

Ell Portet - Paella & Beer
One of the most picturesque beaches in the area, Playa del Portet is a sheltered horseshoe-shaped bay, with calm turquoise waters. You can chill at the beachside bars with the best paella and a chilled cerveza while your kids play on the beach in front of you.
